Monday October 15th Homework Intensive French:
Today the students were given their French vocabulary words which they need to review for their quiz this Friday. Students as part of this review need to copy their words 2 more times which this homework is also due on Friday.
Earlier in September we started RAH! RAH! in order to encourage literacy/reading during this time of the Intensive French Program. Please continue to sign the RAH! RAH! logs and encourage your child to read every night. If this is not possible, please make sure your child reads for 15-20 minutes atleast 15 times a month and sign the reading journal.
An Incomplete homework assignment letter for RAH! RAH! was sent home today only with those students who did not complete this assignment. If your child did not complete this assignment they are to finish their assignment and complete the response sheet included with the letter. Please review this letter with your child and have your child sign it along with the signature of the Parent/Guardian and return this assignment back to myself on Friday October 19th in order for your child to receive their reading marks. Your cooperation in this matter is greatlt appreciated.

We are going on a hike to SpyGlass Hill this Thursday October 18. Please review the permission letter for more detailed information which was sent home today. Please sign the permission slip and return it to myself no later than this Wednesday October 17th.
In Math, Mrs. Smyth is working on large numbers as their Math topic of the week. It would be helpful to review with your child the types of big numbers and how they relate to the real world. Example: When do we see numbers in the hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands, millions etc. What would these numbers refer to. Perhaps we would see numbers in the hundreds like the number of students at a school. The thousands an attendance at a Seadogs hocket game etc. Students will be required to complete a daily homework Math assignment for this topic. Please check your child's agenda for more specific details on the Math assignments. Also they will be having a quiz on this topic this Friday in Math.
Harvey Picture Orders are due this Friday October 19th.
